Utterz Gets More Twitter Like, Suffers Major Downtime
Microblogging platform Utterz announced new features last week that were widely described as being Twitter like. But little did we know that in becoming “Twitter like” Utterz would also catch a dose of the Twitter pox: downtime.
There is no official word yet as to why Utterz is down, but based on reports from Summize, the site went down at around 7pm PST Monday (it’s currently 9pm PST as I write this post). The Utterz phone service is also down, at least from Australia, with a standard recorded messaging telling me that “the phone is currently switched off, or out of mobile range.”
We’ll update the post if and when we find out more, or if you know anything, leave a comment. I do sincerely hope it comes back up, I’ve started using Utterz as an audio/ video/ text capturing CMS for my Tumblr blog, and the ability to grab audio via phonecall at any time is even handy for conducting on the spot interviews.
