Britney Spears Launches Another Fragrance

Britney Spears really wants the world to smell fantastic.

When the singer isn’t getting raked across the virtual coals for her lack of vocal talent, she’s developing fragrances to keep the planet from getting a little musty. Of course, your opinion of Spears’ foray into the fragrance market will probably differ greatly from the folks who have already purchased her other endeavors.

According to MTV News, Britney Spears recently unleashed her 16th scent. Dubbed Fantasy Stage Edition, the fragrance represents Britney’s “daring moments on stage, both past and present. I hope it motivates my fans to be fearless.” We’re hoping it’s not just a bottle of body sweat, though Ellie Goulding probably wouldn’t mind.

The website describes the bottle as follows:

“As you can tell from the python packaging, Britney went the exotic route with Fantasy Stage Edition. It has hints of Britney’s favorite white florals, fruits such as red lychee, golden quince, and kiwi, jasmine petals, white chocolate orchid, orris root, and musk.”

Before you start collecting pennies on the sidewalk to purchase Britney Spears’ latest fragrance, it’s worth noting that Fantasy is exactly the same as its previous incarnation. In fact, the only thing different is the bottle. If you like collecting containers that house celebrity-branded scents, by all means, knock yourself out.

“Same amazing scent, special limited ed bottle inspired by my fave performances,” Spears wrote on Instagram. That’s what Gollum would call a “tricksy,” Britney.

But wait — there’s more! Popdust is reporting that Britney Spears is preparing to launch her very own line of lingerie. Insert your own snarky comments here. Unfortunately, there isn’t much concrete information to share with the world as of this writing.
