Shia LaBeouf Is Getting Sober And You Won’t Believe Which ‘Oceans 11’ Star Is Helping Him!

Shia LaBeouf has had more than his fair share of legal problems recently, and it all came to a head earlier this month when, as reported by the Inquisitr, Shia rudely interrupted a stage show of Cabaret at Studio 54 in New York City. According to reports, the Transformer star used obscene language, and became belligerent when he was asked to leave.

LaBeouf’s troubles have involved charges of plagiarism, driving into his neighbor’s car, refusing to leave a Walgreens when clerks requested he do so, getting into a fist fight in an L.A. tavern, given a D.U.I. and being charged with unlawful smoking, according to Hollywood.com.

And then there was that strange event when Shia LaBeouf appeared with a paper bag over his head at a film premiere…

As a result of Shia Labeouf’s barrage of problems, few were surprised when his publicist, Melissa Kates, announced earlier this month that Shia Labeouf was seeking treatment for alcoholism.

Now, as reported by TMZ, Shia Labeouf is receving help from a very high-profile mentor: Brad Pitt.

Both Shia Labeouf and Brad Pitt are starring in the upcoming World War II blockbuster, Fury. Reportedly, not only is Shia Labeouf taking his outpatient alcohol treatment program very seriously, there’s a bigger reason Shia is staying away from the bottle: he’s absolutely terrified of disappointing Brad Pitt.

For his part, Brad Pitt has done an extremely good job of avoiding the Hollywood Drama-verse while remaining consistently in the spotlight. Certainly, Brad had his issues when his marriage to Jennifer Anniston was on the rocks – a direct result of his infatuation with Angelina Jolie. Other than that, Pitt’s reputation and personal life have remained relatively clean for a Hollywood star, and Shia LaBeouf couldn’t really ask for a better role model.

Shia LaBeouf garnered a lot of praise with his early roles in movies like Holes and Disturbia. Shia was noticed by Steven Spielberg, who had a hand in LaBeouf playing the lead in Transformers, as well as Indiana Jones’ son in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – both roles that any young actor would have killed for.

By all accounts, Shia LaBeouf is an actor that could have a very, very bright career ahead of him. Starring in films like Fury with Brad Pitt means the sky’s the limit in terms of A-list roles, as long as Shia LaBeouf can keep himself clean.

Taking place in 1945, Fury tells the story of an American soldier named Wardaddy – played by Pitt – who commands a Sherman Tank and her crew of five behind enemy lines on a deadly mission. Shia LaBeouf plays one of his soldiers.
