Ellen DeGeneres Sells Her Home to 34-Year-Old Billionaire [Video]

Ellen DegGeneres made a nice profit on the sale of her home. The 11,511 square foot home sold for $55 million to Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster, in an off-market deal he and Ellen made, according to The Desert Sun.

According to the L.A. Times, the beautiful Los Angeles Westside home was built in 1950 for real estate developer Sidney Brody and his wife, Frances, who was a modernist art collector. Four years ago, prior to Ellen DeGeneres owning the property, it was bought for the sum of $15 million to an unnamed investor-owner who spent three years completely restoring the “Mid Century Modern” home, per The Desert Sun. Ellen DeGeneres, host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, bought the home last winter for $40 million.

Ellen’s home was set on a lush 2.3 acres, which included a swimming pool, tennis courts, and even a guest house on the grounds.

Some of the features of DeGeneres’ home were the floor-to-ceiling glass walls, which fall in line with the style of Mid Century. Ellen’s home also had a central atrium-living room in addition to the nine bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, per ABC News.

Ellen DeGeneres was able to earn a profit of $15 million when she sold it to Sean Parker. It should not be any skin off his back. After all, he is a 34-year-old billionaire who co-founded Napster, served as the former president of Facebook, and co-founded Plaxo, which, according to the Los Angeles Times, is an online address book and social service.
