Boston Red Sox trade rumors continue to snowball as the team struggles to advance in the standings. In the midst of a four-game winning streak, the Red Sox have been unable to gain much ground on the rest of the American League East. Tampa Bay and Boston are tied for last in their division and have both been winning recently; unfortunately, so is the rest of the division.
Unless something major happens in the next two weeks, the Boston Red Sox trade rumors surrounding left-handed relief pitcher Andrew Miller appears to be inevitable. As of now, Atlanta Braves rumors appear to suggest that Miller could end up being the lefty they need. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Andrew Miller is being heavily targeted as the player the Braves want before the July 31st deadline.
The Atlanta Braves have been desperate for left-handed relief help all season as Luis Avilan had performed way below expectations. Things got so bad, the Braves optioned Avilan to AAA and called up Chasen Shreve from AA Mississippi on Saturday. Shreve pitched well in his first outing, but the Braves need a veteran if they hope to make a trip to the playoffs. The Boston Red Sox’ Andrew Miller could be that man.
Many of the Boston Red Sox trade rumors have focused on Miller because he has done an exceptional job. With a 2.13 ERA and.95 WHIP, there have not been many better lefties this season. Also, Miller is only owed approximately $800,000 for 2014, making him fairly cheap. The downside is that he is in such high demand and becomes a free agent this offseason.
Botox source: by far the most trade inquiry calls have been on Andrew Miller

It is doubtful that the Boston Red Sox would play hardball about Miller as teams will be afraid of trading too much for a rental. The Red Sox are looking for prospects in exchange for Miller.
The Atlanta Braves are loaded with pitching talent in the minors and could potentially part with Avilan, 25, and one other pitching prospect for Miller. The move would not break the bank for the Atlanta Braves and would give Boston a major league ready reliever, as well as a young pitching prospect.
Of all the MLB trade rumors floating around, this one between the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox remains the most reasonable.
