Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi Try For Normalcy Amid Divorce Rumors
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have seen their marriage bombarded with divorce and cheating rumors for the past several months, but amid the turmoil it appears that the couple is just trying to find a bit of normalcy.
It was revealed last week that Portia did a quiet stint in rehab last May, which was reportedly the result of her marital strife leading her into a downward spiral of alcohol abuse. New reports have claimed that Ellen may have cheated both before and during Portia’s stint in rehab.
But amid these rumors, Ellen and Portia have gone on about doing the normal things that married couples do. Last week they closed on the sale of their Los Angeles home, which they purchased for $40 million and then flipped to Napster founder Sean Parker for $55 million, the Los Angeles Times reported. The sprawling home has nine bedrooms and 7.5 baths.
While neither Ellen DeGeneres nor Porti de Rossi have spoken about the latest round of divorce rumors, the couple has resumed their normal communication with fans as if nothing is wrong. This week Ellen tweeted about Nelson Mandela in honor of the day honoring him.

Ellen has also been focusing on her career, putting a lot of work into The Ellen Show. The show remains wildly popular, and in June received its eighth trophy as outstanding entertainment talk show at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
It could be the couple trying to work out their marital problems. Reports have said that Ellen and Portia are committed to fixing their broken marriage and have been going to marriage counseling ever since Portia left rehab.
“It’s going to take a lot for Portia to trust Ellen again,” the source said. “They kept up with the therapy after Portia got out of rehab, but they still have a long way to go.”
Though she is quiet now, Ellen DeGeneres has denied the divorce rumors in the past, saying she and Portia de Rossi are deeply in love and aren’t facing any of the problems they are rumored to be.
