Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection due out next week

After announcing the collection back in May, Warner Bros. Interactive finally saw fit to slap a release date on Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection for XBLA, PSN and PC: August 31.

The collection – or ‘Kollection’, as they’d have me call it – includes not only the original Mortal Kombat that started it all, but also Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. All three will come complete with achievements, leaderboards and, thankfully, online play.

If your recent outings with the Mortal Kombat reboot left you feeling nostalgic for the Mortal Kombat games of old, this is a good way to indulge in that nostalgia. It certainly helps that the asking price for the collection is a mere 800 Microsoft points, or $9.99.

I probably own roughly five copies of all three games across various platforms, but I think I’m actually going to pick this one up. What about you?
