Britney Spears Leaves Cheesecake Factory Without Paying Her Bill
Britney Spears and her boyfriend stand accused of one of the oldest tricks in the book: the infamous restaurant “dine and dash.” Oh, Britney.
The “Toxic” singer reportedly enjoyed a tasty meal at the Cheesecake Factory last weekend in Thousand Oaks, California. After dining on a variety of delicious food at the restaurant, Spears, her bodyguard, and boyfriend David Lucado headed for the door. Here’s the kicker: No one took care of the tab before they decided to hit the road.
According to Time, the incident was nothing more than a harmless mistake. Since Britney Spears has more than enough money in the bank to cover the cost of a $30 Cheesecake Factory bill, there’s really no reason for her chow down without paying.
Once Spears realized no one had coughed up any money for their meal, she quickly returned to the restaurant and settled the tab. The singer also handed over a $100 tip for any trouble she caused the poor waitress in the process.
She Knows reports that no one seemed overly concerned that Britney Spears didn’t pay her Cheesecake Factory bill last weekend. Since the singer is apparently a huge fan of the restaurant, the staff viewed the situation as a misunderstanding. In other words, Spears and her posse are welcome back anytime.
Cheesecake Factory Senior Director of Public Relations Aletha Rowe explained:
“Britney dines in our restaurants quite often and is a wonderful guest. We know that this was just an honest mistake.”
