Illegal Immigrant Recently Released By Border Patrol Charged With Murder

An illegal immigrant recently released from a U.S. Border Patrol holding facility was reportedly charged with murder. Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas allegedly murdered an American woman just a few weeks after being given a “notice to appear” for a deportation hearing and sent on his way.

The illegal immigrant murder suspect was reportedly processed at the McAllen, Texas Border Patrol station on June 26, 2014. The Associated Press article about the murdered woman does not state that Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas is an illegal alien just released from a Border Patrol holding facility. An agent speaking with Brietbart Texas on the condition of anonymity told journalist Brandon Darby about the murder suspect’s immigration status.

According to the Border Patrol source, the illegal immigrant murder suspect’s registration number is 202027836, and the event number issued during his apprehension is MCS14061487. Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas is believed to be 43, and was apprehended after walking across the Texas border with two children. The illegal alien reportedly claimed the children are his own, but there is currently no way to prove such claims unless the federal government begins mandating DNA tests.

Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas was described as a “suburban New Orleans man” by the Associated Press. The illegal immigrant murder suspect reportedly told Border Patrol agents that he had family in Metairie, Louisiana, and was headed there. He faces a second degree murder charge in relation to the bludgeoning death of his girlfriend.

Over the weekend a 24-year-old woman, identified as Heidi Monroy, was allegedly killed by the recently released illegal immigrant. Monroy was the mother of three children ages 2, 5, and 8. The murder reportedly occurred in her New Orleans apartment, and it appears that the victim’s children and possibly the suspect’s three alleged children were in the home at the time.

Police were called to the murder scene after Monroy’s two older children called neighbors for help around 3:35 am. Monterroso-Navas, a Honduran, was arrested at a trailer park in Katy, Texas on Monday. When New Orleans law enforcement officers arrived, they found Heidi Monroy unconscious with head wounds in her bathtub. She died shortly thereafter inside the apartment.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, approximately 65,000 illegal immigrants, men, women, teens, and children have crossed the South Texas border already this year. Concern over MS-13 gang activity has surfaced in recent weeks. Residents in multiple states have protested the transportation of illegal aliens into their communities, citing both safety concerns and fears of overwhelming local resources and schools among the reasons for blocking buses.

What do you think about the illegal immigrant murder suspect’s release into the community?
