Here’s Gears of War 3′s opening cinematic

Around this time yesterday, Epic Games’ Cliff Blezsinski excitedly announced on his Twitter account that Gears of War 3 has finally gone gold.

In order to celebrate this wondrous occasion for the company, they decided to give a little something back to the fans: the Gears of War 3 opening cinematic.

The cinematic kicks off with a little refresher on the events of the previous two games, narrated by Anya, and then sets up how the story will start to unfold in, as well as the characters, in the final game of the trilogy.

Gears of War 3 is due out on Xbox 360 on September 20. Check out the Gears of War 3 opening cinematic directly below.
