Woman Arrested For Refusing To Leave Hotel, Provides Epic Mugshot

A Cleveland, Ohio, woman was arrested for refusing to leave a Quality Inn hotel room. Although her crime was somewhat unusual, Angela Green’s mugshot is even more bizarre. In the photo, the 34-year-old woman appears to be posing for a “selfie” — complete with an epic “duck face.”

Authorities said Green, and a male companion, rented the room on Friday evening. The hotel requires all guests to check-out of their room by 11 am the following morning. As the couple failed to leave the room by 12 pm Saturday afternoon, hotel staff asked them to either pay for another night or leave the premises.

When the couple refused to leave their room, authorities were called to the scene. In an official statement, the Wickliffe Police Department said Angela Green and Brian Baker answered the hotel room door together. When questioned, the couple admitted that they were unwilling to leave the room or pay for another night.

As Green became “loud and uncooperative,” she and Baker were escorted from the building. The responding officers said Green remained combative and refused to provide valid identification. She was eventually arrested for obstructing official business.

In their official statement, the Wickliffe Police Department said Green was later released on $354 cash bond.

It is unclear why Green refused to leave the hotel room. However, she made a bold statement during her mugshot. Within days, the unusual photo became an internet sensation.

Last month, a Stockton Police Department mugshot gained national attention for a different reason. In stark contrast to Green’s photo, Jeremy Meeks’ mugshot was unusually attractive.

Within days, Meeks’ mugshot was “liked” on Facebook more than 50,000 times. Although he was arrested on a weapons charge, Meeks became an instant celebrity. As reported by Los Angeles Times, the attention prompted admirers to offer bail money and dates.

As the mugshot went viral, the public’s reaction sparked controversy. Meeks’ admirers seemingly ignored his crimes, focusing on his appearance. Others argued that a criminal should never become a celebrity based on their appearance.

Despite the criticism, Meeks was eventually offered a modeling contract. Although he admits he has a criminal record, Meeks said he should not be judged for his past behavior.

The woman who refused to leave her hotel room has also gained national attention for her unusual mugshot. However, it is unknown whether she was offered bail money or any dates.
