Norman Reedus Fans Get Ready To Riot: Daryl Dixon’s Life May Be In Danger In ‘The Walking Dead’ Photo

Norman Reedus fans, you better be sitting down for this: Daryl Dixon’s life might be in danger during season 5 of The Walking Dead.

Everyone’s favorite Walking Dead redneck has seemed pretty much invincible ever since he got away from the bad influence that was his racist, loudmouth brother. Fans became enamored with Reedus’ evolving character, and they vowed to riot if Daryl ever gets killed off.

Unfortunately, it might be time for Norman Reedus fans to grab those pitchforks now — Entertainment Weekly has obtained a very disturbing photo of Daryl in peril.

In the photo, Norman Reedus’ purdy mouth is gagged with a dirty rag, and he might have his hands tied behind him. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Daryl and Carol are about to engage in some Fifty Shades of Grey-style foreplay — Daryl Dixon appears to be genuinely afraid in the photo, and he’s also sporting a nasty-looking black eye.

Obviously someone very bad is messing with poor Pookie, but who could be trying to take Norman Reedus away from his adoring fans? Are the Termites tenderizing him before roasting him on a spit or is ruthless comic book villain Negan going to make a surprise appearance during season 5?

The good folks over at The Walking Dead love messing with their loyal fans, so it’s possible that Norman Reedus’ character isn’t in any real danger in the photo — it was just released to get everyone all riled up. Rick and the gang are very good at getting out of impossible situations, so perhaps the sheriff will swoop in and save his “brother.”

Carol is also out there somewhere, and she owes Daryl one for rescuing her from death by dehydration in the prison. As The Inquisitr previously reported, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride were photographed filming together, so she does reunite with her Pookie at some point during season 5.

Daryl Dixon fans won’t be the only ones rioting if Norman’s character gets killed off — Reedus has made it known that he isn’t going to go without a fight. According to Comicbook.com, the actor revealed his destructive post-death plans during AMC’s Inside The Walking Dead documentary.

Here’s what he said:

“If they kill me on the show, I’ll probably like set my trailer on fire. They’ll probably have to call in a bunch of cops to escort me off the property, because I’ll be so pissed.”

It’s a safe bet that Daryl hasn’t been killed off yet — there have been no reports of Norman Reedus getting arrested for destruction of property, and all the fans snooping around The Walking Dead set surely would have seen his trailer fire.
