Prince Harry Planning Posh St. Moritz Themed 30th Birthday Bash At Kensington Palace

Prince Harry is growing up fast, and would you believe he’s just about to celebrate his 30th birthday? How time flies, especially for those of us who remember the day he was born as if it were only yesterday.

News has it that the young prince is planning a right royal bash, and is throwing an extravagant party at Kensington Palace with the theme of a St. Moritz ski resort, with no expense spared, according to reports.

One of the biggest drawing rooms at the palace is to be done up in the style of the classic Swiss resort, a playground for the rich and famous, including white leather sofas, curtains and decor to make it look all snowy.

In terms of numbers, despite the massive cost of the decor, only around 30 of Prince Harry’s closest buddies have been invited to dine with him, his brother Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge.

But there will be more than just a formal dinner, which itself is slated to be something special and out of the ordinary, as guests enjoy an after party in the suite of rooms. A source revealed to The Sun newspaper that the idea of having the themed party at the palace is a sign of Harry’s maturity as he comes of age.

“At the moment the old drawing school is empty. Easels are resting in the corners. But it will get a stylish makeover. This is an important birthday for Harry and he’s not going to fall out of a club late at night. He’s keen to show that he has come of age,” the source told the publication.

As Prince Harry’s birthday falls on September 15, which is a Monday, the birthday bash is slated to take place on the following weekend for obvious reasons, including no work the next day as well as the hangover factor.
