Kate Upton: Model Says She’d ‘Never Like To Say Never To Playboy’
Being in Playboy is one of the highlights of many models’ careers. Some never really consider it as a goal, while there are others who will scratch and claw up the modeling ladder to get there. Playboy can help make a model’s career. It’s not uncommon to see a model’s career explode after a Playboy shoot. It’s also not uncommon for them to appear in the male magazine again.
The real cool part too is that Playboy is long lasting. Like any magazine, a model wants to know that they will be in something that they can put on a resume and claim for their entire career. Some, however, do not need to end up on the cover or even in the magazine to become a success. Sometimes, the magazine comes calling to them.
Playboy has had interest in grabbing noted model Kate Upton for some time, and who can blame them for it? Before she turned 21, Upton had been modeling in some notable magazines. She has even been seen dating major male stars and is somehow always in the news. Her publicist needs a raise for sure.
Kate Upton has basically ruled the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for the last few years, being part of the last two as the cover girl. She has appeared in notable magazines Vogue, Esquire, GQ, Cosmo, and more. Simply put, Kate Upton is on a modeling role and she has not stopped there. She has appeared in a few movies and TV shows, and is now starring in a movie called The Other Woman as one of it’s main stars.
Upton’s career has skyrocketed, and she never really had to get fully naked to do it.
Playboy sees this and they realize that Kate Upton is a star that can sell millions of copies around the world. Her acting and modeling credits make her a notable name in several media outlets and Playboy sees the star she has become. However, if Playboy came calling and asked her, would Kate Upton appear in the magazine?
“I never like to say never”, Kate told an interviewer at a British GQ event for Gillette. She went on to explain her response, saying:
“Because there are circumstances that I could do pretty much anything if it inspires me and if I think that it’s cool at the time. But right now, at this point in my career, I’m not doing Playboy.”
This made several fans happy at least a bit, because it would be the first time the young model has actually claimed she might do such a thing. She doesn’t have to do it to renew her career, as she might be at the best position she has ever been in her modeling career. On top of that, she is only 22 years of age. She has plenty of time to decide.
Fans want to see her appear in Playboy now. Obviously, who wouldn’t? The issue is that she clearly can make her own choices and she realizes that right now simply is not the time in her life that she needs to do the magazine. The cool part is that she never ruled it out, so it left a door open for her to walk into if and when she is ever ready to make the Playboy jump.
