LeBron James Return: LeBron Picking Cleveland Cavaliers, Will Announce On LeBronJames.com

LeBron James is headed back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, NBA insiders say, and is expected to announce the news soon on his website LeBronJames.com.

Though James has yet to officially announce his intentions, it is being reported by several NBA reporters with sources close to the NBA MVP. Chris Sheridan, who was the first in 2010 to report that James was headed to the Miami Heat, wrote on Wednesday that James has already made his decision.

Sheridan reported:

“James met with Miami Heat president Pat Riley today in Las Vegas to deliver the news. A contingent of other Heat officials were informed they were not welcome at the meeting, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity.

“An official announcement will be made on www.lebronjames.com, as I first reported yesterday.”

It’s not clear when LeBron James would announce his return to Cleveland, but it may be soon. LeBron has said he plans to travel to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup final this weekend, and likely would announce his intentions before leaving the country. That would mean an official announcement coming Thursday or Friday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly already started to pull together a title contending team. The Cavs have been pursuing some free agents that would complement James, including sharp-shooter Mike Miller, who was with LeBron on the title teams in Miami.

They are also pursuing what would be a blockbuster trade, bringing Minnesota Timberwolves big man Kevin Love. The Wolves are reportedly seeking a big return, including recent No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins.

While LeBron James has yet to officially announce a move to the Cleveland Cavaliers, there is already a lot of interest in LeBronJames.com. One web designer even found that the site has unpublished pages in the color scheme of the Cavs.
