‘Walking Dead’ Season 5 Teaser Trailer Released: ‘Carol, Tyrese, and Baby Judith’

When Season 4 of The Walking Dead ended, there were many unanswered questions as the team seemed to be caged with no chance of escape. However, missing from the final moments were three key members: Carol, Tyrese, and baby Judith.

Left wondering if they had fallen victim to the hunger pangs of Terminus’ lively residents (It wouldn’t be the first time that something unspeakable happened on the show) or if they would rush in and save the day, the secretive nature of the The Walking Dead left most people on the edge if their seats, anticipating its return.

As you can see in the above video, Tyrese, Carole, and Baby Judith are alive and well, for now at least, and are approaching Terminus. From there, we can only speculate as to what will happen next. Although the series has not followed the comic books exactly, opting to use them more as a guide instead, this point in the storyline catches up to some pretty gruesome events. According to ComicBook.com, one such event in the comics is explained below:

“Negan beating Glenn to death with a baseball bat is, of course, the one that springs immediately to mind (even though it seems very unlikely we’ll see Negan, or Glenn’s death, especially this early in the season). It was not only gruesome and gratuitous, but it impacted one of the main characters of the series, which made the emotional wallop worse.”

Another scenario that the comic book introduced to us is explained below:

“The gunshot that took Carl’s eye and, for a minute, convinced the readership that the future series lead may in fact have died. The splash page in the comics was pretty horrific, and doing anything similar to a kid would be impossible on TV.”

At this point in the television series, killing off a main character such as Carl, Glenn, or anyone else may seem like a deadly move for the show itself. However, it is those same surprises that keep the viewers coming back for more each week and each season. It is the unpredictability that teams with the dynamic story line that makes the show one we love to hate.

Lauren Cohen stated, in a recent interview (below) that, “This episode is so disturbing. Some of the the stuff they shot yesterday, I don’t know if it’ll make it to TV.”

Predicting what might happen may be a near impossibility for The Walking Dead. However, feel free to discuss in the comments below and share your predictions and thoughts.
