‘GTA VI’: Next Grand Theft Auto Rumored Coming 2017

GTA VI might be coming in the Summer of 2017, if the latest rumors can be believed. One recent report indicated that preorders for the next generation of GTA V on the PS4 and Xbox One have started to slow down. We at The Inquisitr wondered if perhaps it was a situation where people are starting to get bored with GTA V.

It’s possible that some people have become so bored with the most recent Grand Theft Auto game that rumors have started circulating about GTA VI. It bears pointing out that most of the GTA VI rumors are not being circulated by anyone who can point to a credible source.

Epoch Times points out that some of the rumor mongers have even claimed GTA VI was announced at this year’s E3, which simply isn’t true. What Rockstar did announced was the next generation GTA V for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

It also doesn’t make much sense that Rockstar would allow any information out about a GTA VI while they are still trying to build up interest in GTA V. The company did release new DLC for GTA Online that was geared towards celebrating the 4th of July.

It seems more likely than not that should GTA VI be coming down the pike, Rockstar won’t be officially announcing the game until well after the next generation GTA V has been released and established.

It seems likelier still that the company wouldn’t announce something like a new game in the series until the spring of 2015. That could mean that those talking about an announcement at E3 could mean E3 in 2015.

Until GTA VI can be confirmed, it appears that players will have to be content with their own copies of GTA V or the next generation version due out this fall. That version is expected to indeed be souped up and that could be enough to generate some real excitement for gamers who hold realist graphics as paramount.

GTA V was released in the summer of 2013 and has managed to set all kinds of records when talking about critics praise and the number of units shipped. Rockstar can afford to rest on its laurels for a little while longer.

Having said that, the video game business is very much a “what have you done for me lately” type of community. That means that means a GTA VI announcement might be coming sooner than anyone expects.
