Miley Cyrus Gets New Ink In Honor Of Her Dearly Departed Dog

Miley Cyrus clearly isn’t over the death of her dearly departed dog Floyd. Besides her posts on her social media accounts and the tributes to her friend at concerts, Miley has made a few statements regarding how much she misses little Floyd. So what better way to remember one of your best friends? Get some new ink!

That’s right! According to MTV, Miley decided to forever immortalize her beloved puppy by getting a tattoo in memory of Floyd, who reportedly passed away in April of this year. According to a previous report by The Inquisitr, Floyd reportedly was attacked by a coyote while the “Wrecking Ball” singer was on tour.

The death of her beloved dog reportedly was the reason behind some serious health concerns earlier this spring. The Inquisitr reported in April that Miley had to be rushed to the hospital due to a bad reaction to antibiotics.

“The reason antibiotics were required is because Miley’s worn down and exhausted condition, reportedly a result of a lot of hard partying and an ’emotional meltdown,’ finally caught up with her. The highly visible pop star finally just hit a wall, the grieving and touring leading to the need for meds and to heal.”

A month after Floyd’s death and Miley’s emotional breakdown, the singer took to her twitter account to post an emotional statement to her fans about how much she was still grieving for the loss of her friend.

“I keep asking why would the world take my sweet boy from me? A question an infinite amount of mothers before & after me will ask after losing their precious baby. … I was Floyd’s mommy. I don’t know when the regret and the guilt will fade… I don’t know if it ever will. I feel like I let my boy down. My job was to protect him & I’m not a person that takes failure lightly.”

It looks like Miley Cyrus is taking the next steps in her recovery and is finally starting to move on. According to Us Weekly, Miley adopted a new Collie puppy named Emu just last week.

Yesterday the singer and some friends decided to get matching tattoos during a house party to honor Floyd. The tattoo reads “with a little help from my fwends [sic].”
