Mom Killed Teacher: 5-Year-Olds Witness A Mom Stab Their Teacher To Death

A mom killed a teacher at a school in France on Friday, stabbing her to death in front of kindergarten kids (between the ages 5 and 6). According to MSN, the mother’s child had only been in the class for about a month and a half before the murder. The mother did not have much contact with the school before going into the classroom and killing 34-year-old Fabienne Terral-Calmès. It is unclear if the mother’s child was in the room at the time of the attack.

Education Minister Benoit Hamon explained what happened after the unthinkable murder:

“The children were immediately taken in by another teacher who brought them to another classroom to talk to them, to tell them stories, to try to break them away from what they had just lived through.”

The mom killed the teacher because the teacher allegedly called her daughter a “thief.” Sources say that this may have just been a misunderstanding. Instead of talking to the teacher about it, however, the mother just entered the school with a knife — and with the worst intentions. The 47-year-old mother has a history of psychological problems and has sought treatment in the past. It sounds as though the woman just snapped, and wasn’t able to control her anger — to say the least.

Marie-Odile Gay, a member of the regional health and safety committee for the Education Ministry, spoke about the woman’s daughter and how this will affect her for the rest of her life:

“This is something that will stay with her forever. It’s very important to ensure that she is cared for.”

The mom who killed the teacher has been arrested. According to The Canada Journal, the woman returned to her home after the stabbing — and that is where police caught up to her. Her name has not yet been released by authorities.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the incident happened around 11 am at the Edouard Herriot school in Albi. The woman who stabbed the teacher to death will likely spend the next 30 years behind bars (that is the maximum penalty in France). The case is still being investigated.

The teacher who was killed reportedly had two young daughters of her own. She was described as a “remarkable teacher” and was very much loved by her students, colleagues, friends, and family. The children who witnessed this attack won’t soon forget what happened to their beloved teacher.
