Iggy Azalea Caught Up In Cosmopolitan Photoshopping Controversy

Iggy Azalea is the latest celebrity to get mixed up in some photoshopping drama.

In case you missed it, the Australian rapper recently posed for the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine. Although that isn’t shocking in and of itself, some people started seriously analyzing the photo used by the publication. Depending on who you talk to these days, Iggy was the latest victim of a little professional airbrushing.

According to Buzzfeed, Iggy Azalea is apparently missing a few inches on her thighs and hips. Since the rapper is kind of famous for her wild curves, many people wondered why the magazine would bother making her look a little thinner.

Although Azalea fans — and a few detractors — are accusing the publication of photoshopping anyway her curves, Cosmopolitan claims nothing of the sort took place. The Daily Mail reports that the magazine has flatly denied rumors that they made any alterations to Iggy’s figure before slapping the photo on the cover.

Cosmo said in a statement:

“Cosmo has not ‘slimmed down’ Iggy. It goes against our body love policy to remove inches from anyone’s body — whether it’s a celebrity, a model or a reader appearing in the magazine. We think Iggy is fantastic and should be celebrated, which is why we’ve put her on the cover of Cosmo.”

Poor Iggy. She can’t seem to escape drama this month. In addition to the Cosmopolitan fiasco, Azalea is battling rumors that she and Nicki Minaj are currently involved in a huge hip-hop feud. However, both rappers have flatly denied that anything nasty is taking place behind the scenes.

Azalea explained:

“I have to say the general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignore & honestly… lame. If I had won the BET award that would’ve been great but it wasn’t my year & I don’t mind — so you shouldn’t either. Generally speaking, I’m unbothered by anything that ‘happened’ at the BET awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time. Anyone who wishes me well is welcome in my life & those who don’t can’t get any more of my time… I hate to see everyone exhausting themselves on my behalf over things that I’m still not 100% sure even exist & don’t matter. Just let it go.”

What do you think about all the drama Iggy Azalea is up against these days? Do you believe she’s the victim of some Cosmo photoshopping?
