Serena Williams Pregnant: Is Her Coach The Father?

Following her bizarre exit from this year’s Wimbledon, rumors have started to swirl that Serena Williams is pregnant.

Of course, this speculation hasn’t been confirmed, but the fact that no further information regarding the mysterious “bug” that brought her to her knees and forced her to exit the tournament early has been released has only exacerbated the situation.

Serena, who was also knocked out of Wimbledon’s women’s singles tournament in the third round by Alize Cornet last week, was examined by a court side doctor during her truncated doubles match, and she could be seen crying as she sat alongside her partner and sister, Venus, as he tried to examine her.

Isha Price, Serena’s half-sister, has since revealed that Serena appeared to be fully fit before her contest on Tuesday. “She seemed emotional, sad,” Price did concede though.

However it’s now been alleged that Serena is actually pregnant and that symptoms related to her pregnancy forced her to drop out of the competition. According to an insider, “In London, word is that Serena was impregnated by her coach.”

Williams’ coach is Frenchman Patrick Mouratoglou. It’s believed that the duo have been dating for the last 10 months after they were spotted walking hand in hand in Paris. Williams has a second home in the French capital, and there have been several more more sightings of the pair in loved up situations since last fall.

Mouratoglou has since insisted that Williams was forced to retire because of a “bug,” before adding that “before the match she was fine.”

Several tennis experts have since remarked that they were hugely perplexed by Williams’ decision to leave the game. Nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova told USA Today, “I find it distressing. I think virus, whatever they’re saying it was, I don’t think that was it. I think it’s clear that’s not the case. I don’t know what it is, but I hope Serena will be OK.”

Navratilova added, “You don’t know what’s going on, but virus was not it, that much is clear.” She also made it clear that Williams should never have been made to play in the first place:

“It’s the most inexplicable thing of all that she was clearly in no state to play a match and that with all the people around her, that they didn’t stop her from getting on the court.”

Williams is expected to return to her home of BallenIsles in Palm Beach, Florida, later this week, while it’s also been predicted that she won’t play in her scheduled appearance at the Swedish Open next week because of her puzzling ailment.
