Rob Ford Admits To Using ‘Every Drug You Can Probably Think Of’ Except One

Rob Ford, the troubled Toronto mayor who just finished a two-month stint in rehab for drugs and alcohol use, came clean with some sobering remarks in interviews with the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and CP24 and in a statement at City Hall earlier this week.

Mayor Ford told the media that he’s used “every drug you can probably think of” except heroin, according to the Associated Press. Rob Ford also blamed the use of illegal substances, such as cocaine, marijuana, and hallucinogenic mushrooms, for his past racist and homophobic comments.

“I can’t even imagine using that terminology,” Rob Ford said about the comments, which were caught on tape.

“I think that goes along with having this disease,” Rob went on to say. “(When using drugs), you do things, you say things that just aren’t you. I take full responsibility…All I can do is apologize and deal with this disease. This is an everyday battle that I’m going to have to deal with for the rest of my life. This is the beginning of a long, long journey.”

Ford admitted that he also smoked crack, but he denied that he was a crack addict. Rob also claimed that he did drink while in City Hall, but he never did any drugs while at work.

“I’m taking it one day at a time. I did not drink yesterday, I haven’t drunk today,” Ford alleged.

According to Examiner, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was under investigation in December 2013 for suspected wrongdoings that led to his unprofessional behavior. A wiretap during this time revealed that a certain gang member claimed that he had photos of Rob “doing the hezza,” which is street language for heroin.

Even though Ford opened up to the media about his substance abuse problems, he refused to mention whether he would quit his job as the mayor if he began abusing alcohol and other substances again.

Rob Ford announced in April that he was seeking help for alcohol abuse and addiction. This move came after a video appeared that showed Ford smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine. The mayor has been filmed and photographed in public while intoxicated.

Ford lost most of his powers last year when Toronto’s City Council stepped in because of his bizarre behaviors and suspected substance abuse.

Rob Ford announced that it would be up to Toronto voters to decide whether he will return to office after the election on October 27.
