Florida Barber Shop Strip Club Gives New Meaning To Barber ‘s Pole

Super Fades Barber Shop, in Orange County, Florida, has been the focus of a recent investigation by the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation for illegally operating as a strip club at night.

The investigators conducted their research over the course of a month and found that the strip club operation was not a one time deal. Every Saturday night, the barber poles became stripper poles and illegal alcohol was sold. Lt. Mike Gibson had the following to say:

“On each and every occasion they were serving alcohol and they had strippers. And not strippers following local law, but strippers that went completely nude.”

During the investigation, the illegal operation uncovered nudity that is beyond the allowed limits of Orange County, alcohol served without a license, and underage girls stripping down for the clientele. One such girl, whose name was not released, was only 17 years old.

The owner of the Barber Shop, Derrick Dekeith Price, was arrested on multiple charges, such as allowing a worker to engage in nudity, allowing a person under 18 in an adult entertainment establishment, operation of an establishment without a valid license and possession of alcohol without a license with intent to sell. When questioned about his motives, Derrick Price responded:

“It’s customer appreciation. I thank my customers for coming in and supporting me, that’s all it was”

The intention was to continue the investigation longer, but the presence of underage strippers forced it to be concluded early. The juvenile was arrested and charged with conducting lewd acts and her participation is being investigated to determine whether she was stripping by choice or forcibly.

Each visitor to the strip club was charged a $10 cover fee for entering, on top of any alcohol that was purchased and tips given to the performers. Derrick Price denies charging the fee.

“I wasn’t taking money for anything, I take donations”

Neighboring businesses were unaware of the activity, but were not surprised.

There is no word on whether the stripper pole was wrapped in red and white tape, however it was removed from the premises, according to LT. Mike Gibson.

“That would have been a piece of equipment that was there even when they operated during the day while they acted as a barbershop. I’ve never gone to a barbershop that had a stripper pole.”

Video was shot by the investigators, however due to the graphic nature and the juveniles involved, it has not been released to the public.

Derrick Price is currently out of jail on bond.
