You Can Have Your Coffee And Your Wine In One Special Can

Coffee is a drink many Americans have to start their day, and wine is usually what they have when work is done and relaxation mode kicks in. Now, one company is giving coffee and wine lovers a drink that combines both.

According to a report from Los Angeles Times, Florida-based company Friends Fun Wine has now come out with a thing called coffee wine, and it comes in an 8.4 ounce aluminum slim can. Two flavors are available: Cabernet Coffee Espresso and Chardonnay Coffee Cappuccino. Each can goes for $1.99, and contains just 6 percent of alcohol.

Cabernet Coffee Espresso is described as having “a rich flavor of fresh cabernet grapes, espresso coffee, and a hint of chocolate,” while Chardonnay Coffee Cappuccino has “sweet, refreshing Chardonnay grapes with vanilla cappuccino coffee and smooth hints of chocolate,” according to the press release, via Miami Herald.

Joe Peleg, CEO of Friends Fun Wine, said the addition of these two new coffee-flavored wines is in line with the company’s mission to “deliver a FUN drinking experience.”

“We are proud to be the first-to-market with our Fun Wine In A Can™, and look forward to introducing the new coffee varieties to our Fun-Loving Fans,” Peleg said.

As of this moment, though, only 15 states are able to purchase this coffee-flavored wine, according to a report from Thrillist. Those states are Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

However, some are skeptical about this new coffee-flavored wine. A report from Daily Coffee News stated “there are reasons some flavor combinations have never been brought to market.” The website also slams the company for their “redundantly named” coffee-flavored wine products.

“Unfortunately, being first is not in and of itself commendable,” the website added.

Friends Fun Wine is not the first to experiment with new, unheard of combinations of coffee and something else. In a related report from The Inquisitr, the state of Washington will soon be selling marijuana coffee called Legal. Each bottle contains 20mg of THC, which is “the dose for an average human.”

The creator behind this new marijuana coffee, Adam Stites, said he wants people to have the same experience they would with “a nice IPA or glass of wine.”

“We don’t want to pack so much THC into every one of our drinks that it’s unpleasant, especially for people that are just getting into marijuana,” Stites added.
