You Won’t Believe Why Jeffrey Williamson, Father Of An Eight Year Old Was Arrested!

Controversy has erupted in Blanchester, Ohio after the father of an eight-year-old boy was arrested by the police on charges of child endangering, reports WXYZ. The incident happened in May, when a bus from the Woodville Baptist Church arrived at the house of Jeffrey Williamson to pick up his kids. Williamson’s eight-year-old son Justin had different plans, though. The boy lied to his dad, shouted out to him that he and his siblings were going to the church – but he himself never boarded the bus.

“My kids run in the house in the living room here and tell me, ‘Hey, Dad, the church van’s here. We’re leaving. We’re going on to church,'” Williamson said.

While his siblings went to the church, the boy decided to skip the visit for the day and in turn went to a nearby locality to play. The bus left without Justin – and Jeffrey, who was under the assumption that Justin had told him the truth stayed at home thinking the kids were at the church, safe. Jeffrey Williamson’s mistake was that he didn’t actually see the kids boarding the bus. This was to prove costly to him.

Justin, in the meantime had made it to a Family Dollar store half a mile away from his home. Seeing the unaccompanied kid at the store, suspicious employees called up the police and told them a kid was in the store who didn’t know where his home was. They claim Justin told them he didn’t know where he lived – a claim that Jeffrey refutes.

“That’s definitely totally, totally untrue He knows his way around this whole neighborhood right here,” Jeffrey claims

After the police arrived, they took the help of a customer to figure out Justin’s address – and a few minutes later, the police was at Jeffrey Williamson’s doorstep – with Justin by their side.

Williamson reasoned with the cops and told them that Justin goes out to play in the neighborhood every day and knows the area well and is friends with other kids in the area.

“There’s a million kids around here that play. I know the parents. The parents know me,”

Jeffrey Williamson’s other kids had come back from the church by this time – and the officer was still there at his home. It was after this that the officer came up to him and told him that he was under arrest. Williamson says, his kids started crying as soon as the officer told him that he would be arrested.

Meanwhile, the story of Williamson’s arrest for child endangering was reported by a local newspaper leading to Jeffrey being fired from his job. He used to work at the local McDonald’s. He has managed to find another employment though.

The kids however are traumatized by the entire episode and every time they see a cop they get worried and ask him if they are going to arrest him.

Jeffrey Williamson is slated to appear at the Clinton County Municipal Court to defend the charges against him on July 10.
