High School Cop Arrested For Posing as Female on Facebook To Attract Young Boys


Over the past 10 years, social media platforms have gradually become one of the most effective ways to network and meet new people. Networks like Facebook and Twitter are commonly utilized or both work purposes and pleasure. Many people around the country have accredited social media for meeting their soul mates.

However, there are certain drawbacks about meeting people online, and here’s why:

On Friday, June 20, the Fulton County Police Department arrested Keith Rucker, a Tri-Cities High School resource officer and executive director for the Quick Silver Track Club. According to Cpl. Kay Lester, Rucker was arrested on charges of unlawful eavesdropping or surveillance. However, he may face additional charges as the investigation continues.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Rucker was reportedly caught posing as a teenage girl on Facebook in an effort to solicit nude pictures of young boys. The alias he used on the social networking site has not yet been released. Police officials stated that computers, cameras and media storage drives were all seized from Rucker’s College Park home.

The evidence reportedly shows footage of unidentified individuals who may have been recorded without their consent. Police explained that the footage may have been recorded The police department is currently working with the Secret Service to open the “heavily encoded” files.

Rucker was already being investigated for alleged child exploitation and molestation when police uncovered the media and other footage.

Fulton County Schools spokesperson Samantha Evans also released a statement in regards to Rucker’s arrest. As of Tuesday, June 24, Rucker was reportedly fired from the school. Evans also stated that school officials have reason to believe none of the victims were students at the school. However, the identities of any victims have not been confirmed as of yet. As victims are identified, it is likely that Rucker will face additional charges.
