Redmond O’Neal Busted for Drugs Yet Again

, the son of actor Ryan O’Neal and the late actress Farrah Fawcett, has been arrested in California for alleged drug possession, according to Santa Monica police reports.

O’Neal, who has spent time in and out of jail and rehab for substance abuse related offenses in recent years, was initially stopped for running a red light around 8:30am on Tuesday.

According to police, the 26-year-old then consented to a search of his black 2010 Nissan Altima, at which time officers located an illegal narcotic and other drugs.

“After Mr. O’Neal admitted to being on felony probation and consented to a search, the officers found heroin and marijuana in the vehicle,” Sgt. Richard Lewis told People.com Tuesday.

O’Neal was immediately placed under arrest and booked at the Santa Monica Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana in a vehicle, a red light violation, and for the violation of his probation.

Because he is already on felony probation stemming from another drug charge, Redmond is being held without bail.

O’Neal is scheduled to appear in court this Thursday.
