Rob Kardashian Hooked On Sizzurp And Weed: Family Pressure For Rehab, But He Won’t Go

Rob Kardashian is in the headlines yet again, and this time the news is not good. TMZ reports that sources close to the Kardashian family claim that 27-year-old Rob has a seriously bad drug problem, and the family is trying to get him into rehab.

On its website, TMZ displays what it says are exclusive photos showing Rob at a “drug-fueled party” a few weeks ago.

The pictures show Rob holding a double cup, which is the type of container commonly used for Sizzurp. The cup actually has the the words “Codeine Boys” printed on the side, and he appears to be smoking weed.

The relevance of the printing is that the main ingredients of Sizzurp are codeine and promethazine, which are mixed with a soft drink like Sprite and a hard fruit candy to complete the concoction.

For those who have not tried it, the physiological effect on the user is to produce mild euphoria accompanied by “motor-skill impairment, lethargy, drowsiness, and a dissociative feeling from all other parts of the body.”

Observers of Rob’s ballooning weight problem say there is a connection between that and the high sugar content of Sizzurp – not to mention his alleged emotional difficulties.

Celeb Dirty Laundry comments that the reason that this particular Kardashian has become over reliant on drugs is a combination of depression, weight gain, and mounting pressure from the other members of his family. The irony of that is that it’s likely it was the family which caused Rob to get into this condition in the first place.

The report continues by explaining that Rob’s problems have been created and exacerbated by the family obsession with money, and fame any any cost. Nevertheless, they have been in contact with a number of rehab centers; the difficulty has been to persuade Rob to go!

The situation is not looking good, as demonstrated by the fact that he did not even go to his sister’s wedding recently. Because his relationship with his mother and sisters is so complicated, it may be necessary for someone outside the family to intervene.

The fact that the TMZ photos have now been widely circulated online is giving some hope to both the Kardashians and the Jenners that Rob will realize that this is almost as low as it gets.

Any other family would also be concerned with the disgrace and embarrassment. But the Kardashians live for publicity, and, in the celebrity world, there is really no such thing as bad publicity.

After all, this is yet another article with the name “Kardashian” in the headline.
