Amazing Footage Of Texas Police Officer Pulling Woman From Train Tracks [Video]

The Richmond Police Department released video footage of a brave police officer pulling a woman from train tracks just seconds before a speeding train rushes past. On the police department’s Facebook page, Richmond Police identified the hero-cop as Officer R. Morales, who has only been a police officer for ten months. The video shows Officer Morales pulling up to the intersection of the railroad tracks as the railroad’s flashing lights began to signal their warning. Morales was responding to a call on Sunday saying a woman had been sitting on the train tracks.

Police One reported, “Dash cam captured Officer Morales risk his life and pull the woman from the tracks seconds before the train rushed past the intersection. In fear that she may attempt to run back toward the train, Morales held on to her until it finished passing.”

The Richmond Police explained:

“On Sunday, June 22, at approximately 1:00 AM, Officer R. Morales with the Richmond Police Department was flagged down in reference to a female sitting on the railroad tracks in town. Officer Morales responded and found a female on the tracks. As he approached the railroad crossing the warning lights and bell sounded for an approaching train. Without regard for his own safety Officer Morales went on the tracks and pulled the female off shortly before the train arrived at the location. Officer Morales then kept the female from standing back up and running back to the train. The female was later taken the hospital for an evaluation.”

As of Wednesday night, the police department’s statement praising Officer Morales has already received over ten thousand Facebook “likes” and over four thousand “shares.”
