‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ PS4 Exclusive Scarecrow Missions Detailed

The Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 exclusive Scarecrow missions have been detailed at last. A description was given on the PlayStation marketplace, revealing what could be very familiar to fans of Christopher Nolan’s films.

In the original Batman: Arkham Asylum, the Scarecrow occasionally trapped Batman in a room with his famous nerve toxin. This caused the caped crusader to hallucinate and the player had to navigate a nightmarish platform level using stealth to avoid catching the villain’s gaze. Apparently the latest game in the series will take that idea to a new level, turning Gotham City itself into a walk on the scary side.

The description also states that you won’t need to walk through it completely, claiming that the Batmobile will indeed be used in the Scarecrow missions.

The Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 exclusive missions will involve turning the entire city into a nightmarish dreamscape riddled with the undead and the towering presence of the Scarecrow himself.

The official description is as follows:

“Gotham falls victim to Scarecrow’s fear toxin, transforming the famous city into a twisted, hellish nightmare in the Batman: Arkham Knight Scarecrow Nightmare Pack. Tear through the city in the all-new batmobile and face off against a towering vision of Scarecrow and his undead army as they spread terror on the streets, available exclusively on PlayStation 4.”

Basically the PlayStation 4 exclusive missions take the original parts of the first game and turn everything up to a grander scale. Crowds might be panicking in the streets and Batman is the only one who know what’s going on. You might find yourself fighting regular citizens if you don’t take the Batmobile most of the way through to the end of the Scarecrow Nightmare Pack.

Oddly this also sounds a little like one of the digital trips in Watch Dogs. Could Rocksteady be ripping off Ubisoft with their PS4 exclusive Scarecrow missions?

PlayStation 4 owners could be very happy to have the Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 exclusive Scarecrow missions. The return of the concept that went missing in Arkham City could easily send gamers racing to grab a PS4 when Warner Bros and Rocksteady release it in 2015.
