Stewart Vs. Rivers: Is Kristen Suing Joan Over Nasty Comments?

Stewart vs. Rivers might sound like a boxing match nobody wants to see, but apparently there’s something nasty heating up between the Twilight star and the comedienne.

According to various reports, Kristen Stewart isn’t at all happy about the unfriendly things Joan Rivers said about her in the stand-up comedian’s book Diary of a Mad Diva. Instead of figuratively licking her wounds and ignoring the unflattering comments, the actress is apparently filing a lawsuit against Rivers.

“Many stars only do one thing well. Of course, the best one-trick-pony is Kristen Stewart, who got a whole career by being able to juggle a director’s balls,” Joan wrote of the Snow White and the Huntsman star. That’s a scorcher.

According to The Huffington Post, this is how Stewart vs. Rivers came into existence. While Kristen hasn’t officially sued Joan as of this writing, the Fashion Police host said she’s heard rumblings about the star’s wounded feelings and litigious leanings.

Rivers recently told the folks over at TMZ:

“She obviously didn’t read our disclaimer, which says it’s a comedy book. I can’t wait to get her into court because I’m gonna get a puppet and I want her to show me on the puppet where she thinks I claim she touched her director. I am looking forward to it.”

Joan continued:

“Her lawyer contacted my lawyer, which shows the sense of humor she has. My answer to her was, ‘Be glad you’re not a Kardashian because they’re mentioned a lot more in the book’… I’m a comedian. I’ve been doing it for 50 years. If people don’t get it, then don’t come and see me. It’s okay. Don’t read the book. If you’re gonna take it seriously, you’re a fool.”

Unfortunately for Kristen Stewart, Joan Rivers isn’t the only person who’s take a few shots in her general direction these days. The Inquisitr previously reported that ex-boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson made a few thinly-veiled comments about the actress while promoting his latest flick The Rover.

Pattinson explained:

“I think loyalty is probably the most important trait in a friendship. It’s definitely very important.”

That’s definitely got to sting a little. No word yet if Kristen intends to drag Pattinson into court for making these remarks. At the moment, it’s unknown if Stewart vs. Rivers will ever go in front of a judge. One thing’s for certain: Joan doesn’t really care who she irritates these days. If she’s got something to say, then the world’s going to heart it.
