Aaron Hernandez Rushed To The Hospital From Jail

According to the Bristol County Sherriff office, accused murderer Aaron Hernandez was rushed to the hospital briefly on Sunday from his Massachusetts jail cell for unspecified reasons.

Hernandez was taken from the Bristol County House of Corrections in North Dartmouth late Saturday morning to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford for treatment of a medical issue, according to CBS Boston.

The former tight end spent less than a half hour at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford on Saturday afternoon, Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told CNN.

Hodgson told WBZ-TV, a local television station in Boston, that the transport to the hospital did not involve a fight or an altercation.

“He was treated and released. I can provide no further information,” St. Luke’s Hospital spokesman Peter Cohenno told WBZ in an email.

On Friday, Hernandez requested that he be moved out of the Bristol County jail because he wants to be closer to his attorneys in Boston and he’s having issues with Hodgson.

Hernandez is currently being held without bail for the June 2013 murder of his friend, Odin Lloyd, in North Attleboro and the July 2012 murders of Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu in the South End.
