You’ve Gotta Like Paris Today. . . Really.
Our not-so-favorite socialite Paris Hilton made news after doing something selfless! Really! Trust me, I was as shocked as you probably are now when I heard that she had made a “generous” donation to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and made the news today in PEOPLE. Paris promised a year ago to CNN’s Larry King that she’d like to “to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis,” and now she released a statement that:
“The children I have met through my involvement with Children’s Hospital have truly touched my heart. [...] I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses.”
Paris really surprised me; I hope this isn’t a one-off and continues on down the road. Goooo, Paris! I had no idea that selfless acts were in your repertoire. (Okay, she’s done a few good deeds in the past, but
this one tops by far.)
