Twilight Breaking Dawn Hacker Found And Sued By Summit Entertainment
Summit Entertainment, the company behind the Twilight movies issued a press release today in which they announced that they are taking legal action against Daiana Santia an Argentine hacker who released images and unfinished footage of Twilight: Breaking Dawn.
Last Spring the company urged users to avoid viewing or passing on images that had leaked onto the internet, especially scenes of Bella and Edward in bed.
The release states that:
“Civil actions in the United States and Argentina name Daiana Santia, along with others, as being involved in stealing photographs, unfinished images and video from both parts of the yet to be released The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn which first appeared on the internet of March 31 of this year.”
The release goes on to quote David C. Friedman, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Summit Entertainment:
“While we very much appreciate the legions of committed fans of the franchise and encourage them to create community online, we cannot ignore that property was stolen,” while he added, “It is not fair to the majority of fans that want to see the final chapter of The Twilight Saga film franchise fully realized the filmmaker and dedicated cast and crew to have these images out and available on the internet.”
Breaking Dawn — Part 1 will hit theaters on Nov. 18.

It has been done numerous times. The Lord of the Rings books were far longer than any Harry Potter or Twilight book. Yet the writers and producers were able to take those 2,000 pages and turn it into a 2 1/2 hour movie. No excuses, they are just trying to milk the franchise, which is fine by me because I won't watch such garbage anyways. If they had better actors maybe, but the people in those movies just suck. Well, just thought I'd point out that the writers and such could have condensed the books, they were just too lazy and greedy, most likely just the latter of that statement. Greed compels Hollywood.

That's the point. Nothing happens in Breaking Dawn. It's a bunch of people waiting for something to happen which in the end, doesn't. The book could be cut in half and you'd still have the whole story. It's the epitome of a rip off.

Twilight and Harry Potter, are essentially, childrens books. The grim fact is that our young adults in this country are at the reading level of children. The education system has failed us when when sub par teeny-bopper literature reigns supreme. There's amazing writers out there, writing about profound life changing things. But our fast food, reality telivision nation just wants to hear about wizards and tween vampire sex. Give me a break, why not grow your own personality instead of latching on to mass media.
