Jon Gosselin: After Years Out Of The Spotlight, Still Waging Dirty War Against Kate

Jon Gosselin has been off television and out of the spotlight for several years, but the dad that America loves to hate is apparently still waging war against ex-wife Kate Gosselin.

The couple rose to fame after being featured on TLC in a program about raising sextuplets. The couple was so popular that the network decided to spin them off into their own reality show, Jon and Kate Plus 8. Though they seemed like a mostly normal (albeit incredibly stressed out) family, the situations soon grew dysfunctional.

The couple split up in 2009, and then took to making public accusations against each other.

Jon Gosselin was particularly vocal, even airing his grievances on VH1’s Couples Therapy.

“The biggest misconception is the reason for the divorce is that I cheated on my wife. But I didn’t. I mean, I knew [my marriage] was over January 17, 2009. That was the definitive day. I just knew,” Gosselin revealed.

The appearance was something of a rarity for Jon, who settled back into near obscurity after his show went off the air. But he took advantage of the situation, letting the world know that being married to Kate was something of a chore.

He said:

“I always felt like I did Kate’s task list. ‘Here’s the post-it note. This is what you have to do, this is how you’re a good husband, this is how you’re going to behave.’ Okay, [I thought], ‘I’m going to complete these tasks and she’ll love me because I do these things.’ January 16 was when I did all my stuff. I went out to a bar and stayed out ’til 4 o’clock in the morning. When I came home that morning, she said nothing. So I did it the next night.”

Even though the couple has been divorced for nearly five years, Jon Gosselin is apparently still waging war against Kate. A report earlier this month claimed that he was threatening to push forward a tell-all book that would expose her as an unfit mother.

The book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World, The Rise and Fall of a Reality TV Queen, was written by Robert Hoffman, who allegedly had help from Jon Gosselin. A report from The Hollywood Gossip claimed that Jon stole Kate’s computer to feed information to the tabloid writer.

The report went on to state that Jon Gosselin wants alimony and offered to stop the book from being published if Kate would agree to pay it. If it’s true, there may be a good reason for the ploy — Jon reportedly lost his job as a waiter for blowing off shifts.
