‘The Voice’ Hits The Road With New Coaches, Last Stop Denver, Colorado

If you have ever hoped for a chance to compete on NBC’s “The Voice”, your last shot would have been tonight, when the new judges and some familiar faces too, stopped in Denver, Colorado. Tonight marks the end of their multi-city hunt for the person who will win it all in the next season of “The Voice”.

The critically acclaimed reality show has now made it to its iconic seventh season and changes have taken place along the way. First, Shakira and Usher would swap places with Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green for a chance to sit in the trademark red swivel chairs. Now Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will join the roster of superstar judges for season seven. The show first debuted in 2011 and has grown immensely in popularity since then.

Season seven starts in September and fans are already gearing up for the new season. A promotional trailer was released officially yesterday, which shows Gwen Stefani joined by her fellow coaches. The quartet seems to have loads of fun and is anything but short of chemistry. Gwen and Pharrell have been close friends for several years, so the dynamic between the two of them could compete with the Adam Levine/Blake Shelton ‘bromance’.

Pharrell Williams has won countless awards and nominations for both his solo music and for the work he’s done with the Neptunes and N.E.R.D. He brings years of experience to “The Voice” roster. His song “Happy” which was written for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack became a worldwide sensation, placing Pharrell Williams securely in the spotlight as a solo artist. Gwen Stefani also has decades of music industry experience under her belt and also has won several awards and nominations. In addition to her music career, Stefani has also experienced success as a fashion designer and has appeared in several film and TV cameo roles.

For anyone needing to play catch up before the next season begins, Josh Kaufman of Team Usher took the Season 6 crown when he won out over Cristine Grimmie who was favored to win. Fans of the show can also catch a live Voice concert this year. Currently, “The Voice” concert tour is visiting 31 cities to include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto, ON. The tour will end in early August in Redmond, WA.
