‘Dumb And Dumber To’ Will Feature Sea Bass Cameo

Dumb and Dumber To will reportedly feature a cameo from Boston Bruins president Cam Neely, otherwise known as Sea Bass.

The character famously menaced our heroes in the Farrelly brothers’ 1994 classic comedy, though Sea Bass’ behavior is definitely more than a bit more sinister depending on which version of the film you watch. Although Harry and Lloyd left the guy sprawled in a gas station bathroom, apparently he’s coming back for the sequel.

Neely avoided questions about his involved with Dumb and Dumber To during hockey season. However, the Bruins president recently told CBS News that he has a small part in the highly-anticipated follow-up.

Sea Bass explained:

“It’s funny, it wasn’t originally [planned], but there was something shot not that long ago that may make the final cut. You can shoot something and it ends up on the cutting room floor… [The Farrelly brothers] actually approached me after the playoffs were done and said, ‘We think we have something that makes sense to put Sea Bass back in.’ They were able to do it here in Boston, so we’ll see if it makes it.”

Although Neely isn’t featured in the international trailer for Dumb and Dumber To, the recently-released clip does feature a few extra moments that didn’t make it into the domestic cut of the preview. This includes a shot of the guys outrunning a tornado and the return of the famous “most annoying sound in the world” bit.

Like many people out there, you’re probably wondering why it took so long for Peter and Bobby Farrelly to round up the gang for Dumb and Dumber To. During a brief chat with the folks at Enstarz, the filmmaker explained that they didn’t want to move forward with a sequel until they had Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels on-board.

“We didn’t want to make it unless it was as good as the first, and the first was really good, so we really had to work our a**es off,” Peter explained, adding that they weren’t interested in making Dumb and Dumber Light.

Bobby added, “We weren’t going to make it without Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.”

Roughly 20 years after the original tickled the funnybones of moviegoers around the world, Dumb and Dumber To will hit the big screen on November 14. Are you planning to catch the sequel in theaters?
