Jill Duggar Wedding: ’19 Kids And Counting’ Star Preps For Weekend Nuptials To Derick Dillard
19 Kids & Counting star Jill Duggar’s wedding to Derick Dillard is slated to take place this weekend, and fans are thrilled for her. Viewers watched Jill and Derick’s courtship play out in this past season of the TLC show, and the pair has shared a few fun tidbits about it all via social media as well.
Us Weekly shared some of the highlights of Jill and Derick’s wedding registry, and it looks like they are keeping things fairly simple. Duggar and Dillard registered at several practical places, and it seems they decided to ask for things they truly felt they could use. Though many couples go for the big requests, Jill Duggar and her fiance listed quite a few simple things like cereal, cleaning supplies, duct tape and restaurant gift cards.
Granted it’s not all small stuff on the Duggar/Dillard wedding registry. The couple also included some bigger items like a digital camera, a Smith & Wesson rifle, and a 12-gauge shotgun. Those happen to still be available on the registry, and last-minute shoppers may want to focus on the Walmart registry as the other retailers have been pretty cleared out in terms of what the couple requested.
In addition to the typical wedding preparations and registry sneak peeks, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard also just had a “pounding party.” Jill shared some pictures on Instagram, and the Christian Post shared the details. This is a wedding shower where guests work on stocking the couple’s future cupboards with staples such as flour and sugar rather than purchase traditional gifts.
The pounding party included some silly games, and of course there was cake. The couple did have another wedding shower earlier that incorporated a pink and green theme. Though Jill is the fourth child in the Duggar family, she is the first girl to marry.
Jill’s older brother Josh is married to Anna and they have three children, while Jana and John-David are not yet married. Jill’s younger sister Jessa may be planning her own walk down the aisle soon, as she’s in a courtship with Ben Seewald. There have been rumors of an engagement in place or on the horizon on that front as well, much to the delight of the show’s fans.
Surely some photos of Jill and Derick’s wedding will be shared on social media after the big event, and most are guessing the cameras will be rolling for the show as well. 19 Kids & Counting fans are very excited for Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard, and everybody hopes the day goes smoothly.
