Meryl Davis, Maks Chmerkovskiy Dating? Maks Wants Meryl To Be His Last ‘Summer Love’

Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy had undeniable chemistry on Dancing With The Stars— and they aren’t even denying it at this point! While the two say that they are not dating and that they are “just friends,” Maks recently said that he and Meryl had a “summer love” — a temporary love that lasted for the time that the two were on the show.

Maks explained:

“It is like being at a summer camp when you’re a teenager. You spend summertime away from your home. When you spend three months very closely with someone at a particular place, it is like a summer love. You have no choice but to get involved with that person.”

Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy are still in touch, even though they aren’t seeing each other every day. That doesn’t mean that they are in love, but it does mean that they developed a close relationship that could potentially turn into something more. However, Maks says that Meryl isn’t the only dance partner that he has gotten close to. While viewers saw something completely different and new with Maks on the last season of DWTS, he tried to downplay it in his interview with Social Life Magazine.

Maks said:

“I am very close with a few of my past partners because they have played a huge role in a big part of my life. Three months is a long time, and if I am going to give someone that much of my time, I am going to develop a relationship with that person.”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy might try to be coy when it comes to his feelings for Meryl, but he knows this much for sure:

“I want Meryl to be the last person I dance with, the last person I got to be passionate with and care so much for.”

That’s totally saying something, isn’t it? It seems like Maks realizes that he had something incredible with Meryl — and while that may not translate into a marriage and “ice skating, big, Russian, mean babies,” Maks wants to walk away from the show on the highest note. He won his first Mirror Ball Trophy with the Olympic gold medalist, and that’s not something that either of them will easily forget.

But then there’s this: As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Maks recently said that he and Meryl will dance again and he gave a little wink with his response. Meryl retweeted the message. The speculation continues!
