Justin Bieber Cleared: ‘9 Witnesses Said The Woman Made Up The Alleged Robbery’ In Phone Case

Justin Bieber will not face charges over an alleged attempted robbery allegation made by a Los Angeles woman who accused the singer of taking her cellphone at an amusement center last month, after the Los Angeles City Attorney rejected the case on Monday due to a “lack of” and “insufficient evidence.”

The file was handed to the City Attorney’s office for review last Thursday as a misdemeanor charge, after the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office rejected a felony attempted robbery charge against Bieber after nine witnesses interviewed by the LAPD said the accuser made up the robbery claim, according to TMZ.

On May 12, a woman claimed Bieber demanded to see her cellphone at the Sherman Oaks Castle Park mini-golf/ batting cage amusement center in the San Fernando valley, allegedly to delete photos she claimed the singer believed she had taken of him.

The woman – who went to TMZ before speaking to police – went on to claim Bieber reached into her purse and took her cellphone, but then supposedly handed it back after discovering it was locked.

The accuser claimed Justin wrestled” with and “screamed” at her, which allegedly made the woman’s 13-year-old daughter cry.

However, none of the nine employees/witnesses interviewed by police saw any signs of an altercation between Bieber and the woman.

In addition, one witness told TMZ Bieber “never touched” the woman and that her daughter cried because she wanted a photograph with the Canadian.

The employee also said the woman was aggressively taking photos of the singer and ignored requests by Bieber’s bodyguards to stop.

The Los Angeles Times reported the accuser’s 13-year-old daughter told investigators the teen admitted she cried over her “excitement” of being around Bieber.

Justin previously took to Twitter to deny the alleged attempted robbery incident happened.

“It is hard to defend myself and my privacy every moment of the day. Then to see rumors,” he wrote. “The truth will set u free. (sic),'”also linking his followers to the TMZ article which contained statements by the employee who denied the robbery.

There’s more welcome news from Bieber’s point of view regarding his Miami DUI case.

The singer’s lawyers have reportedly agreed a plea deal with Miami-Dade prosecutors. In exchange Bieber will reportedly plead guilty to reckless driving, pay a fine and attend anger management classes.

Bieber will not be put on probation and his lawyers allegedly refused to agree to him starring in an anti-drug PSA as a judge first requested. The singer’s lawyers also refused to agree to a drug/alcohol education program as they felt this would incorrectly suggest the 20-year-old has an substance abuse problem.

The plea deal is expected to be entered into court within the next two weeks.

However, storm clouds in the shape of a vandalism charge over Bieber’s alleged egging of his ex-neighbor’s house in Calabasas, California is expected to land Tuesday after a false alarm on Monday.

The case has been in the hands of the Los Angeles District Attorney since February after the Sheriff’s department handed the file over with a recommendation of a felony charge.

As per CNN, it’s not known whether Bieber will be charged with a felony or misdemeanor vandalism charge because it is reportedly certain he will be charged.

The decision rests with DA Jackie Lacey. With $20,000 damages alleged damages to the neighbor’s house due to the egging, the case is a “wobbler” and it is within her discretion what charge to press against Bieber.

For his part, Bieber has been hitting the studio with Akon and Chris Brown in Los Angeles and announced on his social media accounts on Monday that he and Brown have penned a song together “for the fans.”
