‘Chuck’ Star Zachary Levi Announces Wedding By Hoodie

Zachary Levi, star of TV’s Chuck, announced his secret wedding to girlfriend Missy Peregrym via Twitter Monday evening bringing to an end oft-searched internet rumors like “Zachary Levi Yvonne Strahovski dating.”

(Strahovski co-starred alongside Levi on the popular show from 2007 to 2012. Fans wanted to believe it, but in the end…)

Levi and Peregrym wed in Maui and decided to share their joy with the Twitter community via a cute pic tweeted at 6:45 pm the day of.

In the pic, they appear standing together wearing Mr. and Mrs. hoodies. Aw. Here, have a look for yourself.

If you’re feeling a little lost by the coffee reference, don’t be. Us Weekly has the rest of the story, noting that it all began when Peregrym, star of Rookie Blue, tweeted to Zachary Levi: “Hey @ZacharyLevi, great job at the Tony’s. You’re a real babe alert. How about we grab a coffee and talk about your dreams and goals?”

Levi responded: “Hey, thank you… Name the place and time. I’ll bring my own mug. Not my typical move, but I’m feelin like takin a chance.”

Joel David Moore, Levi’s good friend and Avatar actor, took part in the nuptials. “Congrats to @ZacharyLevi and @mperegrym on their stunning wedding and beautiful future,” he wrote, “Couldn’t be happier for my brother & my new sis pal.”

If you’ve been missing Zachary since Chuck was canceled, you’re not alone.

On the heels of the show ending — and the success via Kickstarter of movie projects like Veronica Mars — there has been some hope for a Chuck movie.

Levi himself got in on these rumors in March of last year.

“I’ve always thought doing a ‘Chuck’ movie would be fun,” he said. “If we had just gone straight to monetizing it and selling it directly to the fans then, we might still actually be on the air.”

Levi said he planned to sit down with Chuck creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak to “gauge their temperature on it.”

“Of course, I’d only want to do it with the blessing of them, they created the show, and the blessing of Warner Bros.,” Levi said.

Chuck aired its series finale in 2012 after a five-season run. The show focused on Chuck (Levi), a computer geek who inadvertently becomes a mental host for The Intersect, a powerful computer brain with all the info available to the US government.

As both a risk and asset to his country, Chuck is looked after by top agents from the NSA and CIA. Spy adventures ensue.

Until a Chuck movie can finally be made, we’ll just focus on wishing Zachary Levi and Missy Peregrym the best on their marriage. Good luck, and congratulations!
