East Peoria Shooting In Illinois Kills Two, Shooter Jason Moore Shot By FBI Agent In Sports Bar

The East Peoria shooting involved a gunman named Jason Moore walked into the Fifth Quarter Sports Bar and Pizzaria and started shooting at three targets. The violence only ended when an off-duty FBI agent shot the shooter.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, a recent gun control protest in NYC is pointing to all the recent shootings, but some politicians think that using tragedies to shove gun control laws through is a travesty… and use bad Trayvon Martin jokes in order to make their point.

East Peoria Police Chief Dick Ganschow says police officers are still reviewing evidence of the incident gathered from video recordings at the bar but so far it appears that the shooter was targeting several people specifically:

“After just a brief moment inside the bar, he pulled out a weapon and shot a female and a male. He was subsequently shot.”

The East Peoria shooting victims have been identified and so far it appears the motive was personal. One of the victims was a 33-year-old woman named Lori A. Moore, who filed for divorce from the shooter in the spring of last year.

The woman was shot in the head but was rushed to the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. According to Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll she was pronounced dead a little over an hour after the East Peoria shooting took place. The name of the other victim was not released but he also died from a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead about half an hour after the woman. The shooting suspect, Jason Moore, died at the scene of the crime.

Witnesses claim the two victims of the East Peoria shooting were attending a high school reunion and it is believed the male victim was the new boyfriend of the shooter’s ex-wife.
