Leonardo DiCaprio Goes Gatsby, Hand-Picks Harem Of 50 For World Cup Bash

Leonardo DiCaprio is summoning his inner Gatsby for this year’s World Cup tournament in Brazil.

Not only is DiCaprio treating friends to the 482-foot uber-yacht with three pools, helipad, and movie theater that he’s living in for his three-week stay, the recently single star also filled the guest list to overflowing for a weekend party in the paradise of Buzios with 50 individually chosen women shipped in from near and far to give the bash the proper cred.

Now that DiCaprio, 39, is no longer romantically tied to German model Toni Garnn, he thought he’d get the party started at the Pacha nightclub in Buzios by hand-picking the ladies getting in. According to the Mirror, 20 women came from a resort outside Rio and another 30 were flown in individually. The ladies are reportedly housed in a resort hotel and treated like his own personal harem during their time in Brazil.

The Mirror‘s source describes a truly Gatsby-esqe party for partying’s sake: “Leo had bottles and bottles of Dom Perignon champagne going around. He really had gone all out on it and spared no expense. It was a really lavish party.”

DiCaprio seemed to be enjoying himself, too. Some of his new lady friends reportedly taught him to dance to Valesca Popozuda’s single “Little Kiss on the Shoulder (Bejinjo no Ombro),” and the source said he was enjoying himself so much that he kept telling the DJ to replay it.

If anything romantic occurred, though, it wasn’t until after retiring to the yacht at party’s end. The source said:

“He didn’t really cozy up to any one girl in particular. He was really sociable and kept wandering from one woman to the next. He seemed keen to have a good time with all of them.”

Some of the women left with DiCaprio and Co. at 4 am, the source said, and “they were still partying at 6 pm on Saturday evening.”

Also among DiCaprio’s guests on the yacht: Fugees rap artist Pras Michel, Brazilian Big Brother cast member Marien Carretero, and Playboy centerfold Mari Silvestre.

DiCaprio has the yacht rented for three weeks, according to the Sunday Express. Right after arriving in Rio on Wednesday, DiCaprio boarded the yacht and made the 300-mile journey south to San Paulo to see Brazil’s opening match with Croatia.

Named The Topaz, the 2-year-old boat is the fifth-largest private vessel in the world, owned by Sheikh Mansour, the I-use-money-for-toilet-paper-rich owner of the Manchester City franchise.

And so far: What’s happened on The Topaz, has stayed on The Topaz.
