Robin Thicke’s New Album Named ‘Paula’ After Estranged Wife

Robin Thicke has decided to name his next album after his estranged wife Paula Patton. With any other couple this would be deemed as abnormal, but this is just one step in a series of public moments that Thicke has put on display in an effort to get back into Paula’s good graces.

Whatever Thicke is apologizing for apparently needs something grander than simply “I’m sorry” or at least that’s the approach Robin is taking.

His next album, reportedly set to be named “Paula” will be a follow-up to his hit album “Blurred Lines” which made Robin Thicke a hot to trot star and took the singer away from his modest success on the R&B charts. Although we’re not certain why Paula Patton decided to call it quits, it’s really easy to see that the split wasn’t a mutual decision from Robin’s latest attempts to get back with Patton.

Even days after the split was announced Robin was very candid about his expectations for their relationship. At the time he dedicated a song to Patton while performing in Virginia and told the crowd, “For y’all that don’t know, me and my wife separated but I’m trying to get my girl back.”

It was Paula Patton and not Robin who announced the couple’s separation back in February after nine years as a happily married couple. The pair also have a son Julian Fuego, who was born in 2010. Patton and Thicke have a long history together as the pair met in high school. Thicke opened up about their relationship in the single “For the Rest of My Life” which is featured on his 2013 hit album “Blurred Lines.”

Robin’s decision to name his album “Paula” comes quickly after he decided to premiere his new single “Get Her Back” on the Billboard Music Awards back in May. During the performance Thicke encouraged the audience, “All right, y’all, help me get her back.”

Although it doesn’t look like Paula Patton is ready to reunite with her estranged husband, she did tell Vanity Fair that the two will always share a bond.

“We’ve known each other since we were teenagers All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there—always was, and always will be. He wasn’t my first kiss, but he was my first lots of other things.”

Do you think Robin Thicke will get his estranged wife back in his life or will she file for divorce?
