Ellen DeGeneres’ Sophia Grace Getting Her Own Video Series

These days if you watch daytime television it’s pretty hard to miss Ellen DeGeneres’ two favorite little girls Sophia Grace and Rosie. The two girls are featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show as much as DeGeneres wears argyle. The pair got their start on the show singing Nicki Minaj’s “Superbass” back in 2011.

If you’re not familiar this pretty much sums it up — Sophia Grace and Rosie are usually prancing around Ellen’s stage in the frilliest dresses with the biggest tutus. When they’re not physically on DeGeneres’ show they’re correspondents for the Ellen show, and have interviewed everyone from Nicki Minaj to Miley Cyrus. Usually they return to share their red carpet adventures with Ellen and it’s either the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen or the most annoying — there’s never a middle ground with these two Brits. What you see is what you get.

In addition to their red carpet interviews and song and dance renditions on Ellen’s stage, the two have also traveled all over to visit their favorite musical acts. Just a few months ago Sophia Grace and Rosie visited Britney Spears in Las Vegas on her birthday.

The only place Sophia Grace and Rosie can really go from Ellen’s stage is up. It appears that DeGeneres and Sophia Grace have finally discovered what the next step looks like. According to TMZ Sophia Grace Brownlee is getting her start on the small screen in a whole new way. One half of Sophia Grace and Rosie is set with a five picture deal, which seems to be separate from Sophia Grace and Rosie’s Royal Adventure which made $50,000.

According to the contract obtained by TMZ Sophia Grace Brownlee will earn $75,000 per film if the producers decide that they want to option for a second and third movie. The fourth and fifth movies if they’re greenlit will be $100,000 per film.

Rosie isn’t being left in the dust. Sophia Grace’s “hype man” who’s often silent also struck a pretty nice deal, but TMZ didn’t obtain a copy. It’s said that Rosie McClelland also has a deal with Sophia Grace and that she is signed for sequels as well.

In addition to the report by TMZ, Deadline has also reported that the direct-to-video project from Sophia Grace and Rosie is a deal made by Ellen DeGeneres’ production company. The deal will also include a TV series script commitment from NBC. Looks like the millennial generation has found their answer to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
