Chinese Woman “Huang” Detained Over “Kappa Girl” Porn Video
A Chinese woman known only as “Huang” has been detained because police say she made a porn video of herself and uploaded it to the Internet.

The video said to feature Huang is known as “East Building Kappa Girl” but originally appeared under the title of “Kappa girl at Shanghai No 1 Department Store’s east building,” China Daily reports. The title is believed to be a reference to a sportswear shop where Huang worked. The sex tape ran 12 minutes.
The “Kappa Girl” Sensation
The video first surfaced online in October and quickly became a hit among Chinese Internet users, with some reports indicating “tens of thousands” of searches in November alone. Huang is also accused of trying to sell interviews via her blog for $4,364 a pop.
Officials in Shanghai say Huang’s charges are “disseminating pornographic materials,” something forbidden by Chinese law.
“Anyone who films, uploads or distributes such videos, is guilty of disseminating pornography,” a lawyer tells China Daily.
