Casey Kasem Hospitalized After Wife Pitches Raw Meat To ‘The Wild Rabid Dogs’

The battle between Casey Kasem’s wife and his daughter got as raw as it gets, while Casey Kasem was rushed to the hospital via ambulance on Sunday.

Just last month, a Los Angeles judge allowed Casey’s daughter, Kerri Kasem, to be in charge of his medical care. This ruling was upheld by a Washington judge on Friday after Kasem had been taken to that state without his family’s knowledge and under the care of his wife, Jean Kasem.

Kerri Kasem was allowed visitation, ordered by a judge, to check on her father’s well-being. Casey and his wife were staying at the home of a friend in an area west of Seattle, according to People.com. Kerri has been visiting him there regularly since the ruling.

According to NBC News, Kerri showed up at the home where her father has been staying with an ambulance. However, paramedics were not allowed inside the home right away. Someone from inside the home called 911, and yet another ambulance arrived along with a fire truck. Once the fire truck was called away on another emergency, Jean Kasem took matters into her own hands.

NBC News reports that Jean Kasem had about a pound of raw hamburger meat in her hands when she came downstairs. She then threw the meat toward or at her stepdaughter, Kerri Kasem. Paramedics were then allowed to enter the home to take Casey Kasem away to a Washington hospital.

Jean reportedly said to an NBC News reporter, “In the name of King David, I threw a piece of raw meat into the street in exchange for my husband to the wild rabid dogs.”

Casey Kasem’s wife of 34 years recently held a news conference and produced an audio recording of what she claimed was Casey’s protests, in the forms of loud moans, to the judge who placed his medical care in the hands of his daughter.

Casey’s daughter testified in a hearing last week that her father is suffering from a bladder infection, lung infection, and severe bedsores. Casey Kasem’s sister, Mary Kasem, believes his moans are from his suffering.

In reference to the audio recordings, Mary Kasem said, “That was just so sad and wrong. We don’t know if that’s him or not. But if it is, he’s probably groaning because he has stage three bed sores, a lung infection, and a bladder infection. For her [Jean Kasem] to put out something like that and claim that is just awful.”

According to Kerri Kasem’s spokesman, Kerri went with her father to the hospital, but it is unknown where Casey Kasem is at this point.
