Angelina Jolie Talks About Son Maddox’s Girlfriend

This must have been a day Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were dreading. Their son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 12, is all grown up and out in the dating world. In the past Jolie has been very open about dating from a very young age, and now she’s revealing her son Maddox’s first tentative steps into the dating world.

Jolie revealed to Entertainment Tonight during the press day for her film Maleficent that Maddox has “got a girlfriend.”

Of Maddox’s girlfriend, Jolie said:

“She’s great. I won’t embarrass him. She’s lovely. She lives in England. She’s very cool.”

Although Maddox is in a long distance relationship for most of the year, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt make the situation work for him. Jolie said of the innocent budding relationship:

“We go there as often as possible. It’s really, really sweet. She’s a great lady, so I’m lucky. So far, we’re doing good.”

The last time we saw Maddox, aside from paparazzi photos, was at the Governor’s Awards back in 2013. He attended the event to support his mother, Jolie, who received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. At the time, we were all shocked to see just how much Maddox has grown up. Out of all of the Jolie-Pitt children, Maddox was in the public eye before Jolie entered in a relationship with Brad. From a very early age, Maddox was involved in cute mother and son photo shoots with Jolie.

Host Nancy O’Dell mentioned how Maddox has grown up before all of our eyes. “He’s like a little man now,” said O’Dell.

Maddox seems to be a busy kid these days. When he’s not dating and traveling the world with his five siblings, he’s also helping his parents plan what is expected to be one of the biggest weddings in celebrity history.

Jolie gave inside info that the children are essentially the wedding planners.

“They helped me out with everything, they basically picked everything.”

From the very beginning of her role as a mother, Jolie has always been extremely open about her experiences raising her children, who she shares with Brad Pitt, her partner of eight years.

Back in 2003, before Pitt was in the picture, she said of then 2-year-old Maddox:

“For me, becoming a parent changed everything. My priorities straightened out. My life is all different.”

In the same year, Jolie became an ambassador for the United Nations, and more than a decade later Angelina is known for her humanitarian work just as much as she’s known for her presence in front of and behind the big screen.
