‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Secret Ending: How The End Credits Scene Will Affect ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

The X-Men secret ending might have some fans wondering what the end credits scene even means and how it will affect X-Men: Apocalypse.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, everyone must have time travel and apocalypse on the brain since Thor 3: Ragnarok would deal with similar themes.

For those who haven’t been reading comics for years, the character Apocalypse is Earth’s first mutant who is known as The First One. He is thousands of year’s old and eventually transforms himself into a cyborg in an alternate timeline. This X-Men character, named En Sabah Nur, was featured as the primary villain in the Age of Apocalypse series produced during the 1990s. He comes complete with superpowers like telepathy, telekinesis, and other abilities, and actually managed to take over the world in an alternate universe.

But the X-Men: Days Of Future Past secret ending really does not show much about Apocalypse other than how powerful he can be. Yes, the young hooded figure we see right after the end credits is Apocalypse himself, although I doubt he looks anything like that by time the X-Men run into him.

Now comes the spoilers, since I’ll speculate on the X-Men: Apocalypse plot based upon the comics. With that out of the way, here goes…

There’s a good chance that Charles Xavier may die in this alternate timeline in order to set up the events of the future. So it’s very likely that time travel will once again play a central role. Now the X-Men characters Blink and Bishop were introduced for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, though they did not play as major a role as Wolverine since Bishop did not get to go time traveling. There’s also a good chance that the X-Men characters Cable and Mr. Sinister will be introduced, as well. What seems more unlikely is that Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch will be in the next movie, although the recent one just featured a young Quicksilver (there was even one scene where Magneto got a hint that this was his son, but he didn’t connect the dots).

My biggest bet is that we will see the younger version of Magneto (as played by Michael Fassbender) become a hero and may even work alongside Jean Grey and Cyclops, who are now alive again thanks to X-Men: Days Of Future Past (it’s already said that James Marsden wants to be part of X-Men: Apocalypse). But the trick is that Magneto first tries to unearth Apocalypse in order to help his Mutant Brotherhood. The reason this becomes a conflict is because Apocalypse has an interesting personal philosophy related to survival of the fittest and En Sabah Nur will probably start killing off the weakest of the mutants, which isn’t exactly what Magneto wants.

What do you think will happen in X-Men: Apocalypse?
