Mark Cuban Joins ABC’s ‘Shark Tank’

Billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, is slated to be a series regular on ABC’s Shark Tank when the critically-acclaimed show returns for its third season this fall.

Cuban, 52, stole the spotlight during a trio of guest appearances on the business-based reality series last season, prompting the show’s executive producer Mark Burnett to sign the outspoken Mav’s owner to a deal in which he will appear in 10 of the upcoming season’s 13 episodes.

In the show budding entrepreneurs are given the chance to pitch their inventions and business ideas to a group of tough, self-made, multimillionaire tycoons (the “sharks”). While the budding businessmen and women are looking for startup capital to take their ideas to the next level, the sharks are looking to get a return on their investment awn a piece of the next big business idea.

With his hard-nosed and hilarious nature, Cuban, who joins the ranks of FUBU clothing founder Daymond John and Infomercial “King” Kevin Harrington, is certainly going to make the upcoming season much more exciting.

Season 3 of Shark Tank – which is based on the Japanese series “Dragons’ Den,” created by Nippon Television Network Corporation – will begin this fall at its regularly scheduled day and time – Fridays at 9pm EST.
